Not enough time

This week has been pretty hectic so far and I don’t think it will be any different for the rest of the days left from this week.

I skipped swimming on Monday. Last week I swam for over one hour and I think it was too long because when I came out of the water, my voice was completely different. That’s already a sign that I stayed too long in the water. I didn’t feel cold in the water but it’s hard to notice during swimming.

Ever since that long swimming workout my nose is running and I feel like I am on the verge of getting sick but I am fighting it with lots of fresh juices and vitamins. Hopefully it will work because we have a trip planned for this weekend and I don’t want to spend it sick in the hotel room, which I already did once by the way and it was not fun at all.

I had a pretty good workout yesterday at the gym. I did 20 minutes on the treadmill but my legs felt so heavy, I am afraid that I am getting out of the running-shape that I was in as I was doing the C25K regularly. Nevertheless I am trying to keep the cardio only to a strict minimum and concentrate more on weight training and building muscles. The FatBurn Barbell Training was great but really hard, I had to take breaks often and I couldn’t even do 6 lousy pushups! I really have to build more strength!

I won’t be able to make it to my planned workout tonight and I will have to somehow make up for the two missed workouts in the weekend. There is simply not enough time in a day to do everything I would like to.

Because I am going to the mountains on Friday straight after work and tomorrow is the appointment for the fitness check and gym instructions, I have to start packing today for the weekend trip. I know myself well enough to know that I have to pack early because otherwise i will forget lots of things. Last time I forgot my entire snow gear and I ended up almost on my backside because I slipped with my normal shoes in the snow.

My nutrition has been pretty good so far this week and I feel like I am slowly fixing the damage I have done last week. I am still not eating completely clean but I am trying to stick to my calorie and macro goals first and then see later what I should cut out from my meal plan.

I can’t believe it’s already December. I have the feeling that this year went by so fast. Even though it’s very cold, I love the Xmas spirit everywhere. The stores and even my neighbors packed out the decorations already and this morning I heard Last Christmas by Wham! on the radio.

I am really looking forward to go visit my family over Christmas and spend the second week of my vacation either at home or in the mountains relaxing.
