San Francisco – Day 3

We woke up at 5 am (thank you jetlag) and walked to Starbucks for a tall double nonfat latte. We contied our walk to the Ghirardelli chocolate factory where I bought a bunch of delicious chocolate for myself, my relatives and my colleagues back home.

We met up with the rest of the group and webt to Hollywood Cafe for breakfast. This is an amazing place with delicious food and fresh fruits. I highly recommend it.

We walked again from Fisherman’s Wharf to to Chinatown, this time on Columbus. We had some free time until the registration started for the Build conference so I ended up again on Union Square shopping in Nike, Macy’s and on Market Street.๐Ÿ˜ƒ

We arrived to Moscone Center just shortly after 3 pm and registered for the conference. Build 2015 is the first conference where I received a women’s size t-shirt which is pretty cool considering that I always get a small male t-shirt and they never fit right.

We walked back to the hotel to Fisherman’s Wharf and rested for an hour before heading out for dinner. We were invited to the Microsoft Germany party on Bubba Gump on Pier 9. Half of the restaurant was occupied by Build conference members from Germany and it was very nice to connect with everybody.

The food was good even though it wasn’t exactly healthy. We started with a shrimp cocktail, caesar salad and chips with cheese & spinach dip. I picked the Captain’s fish and chips as the main course which was delicious but in retrospect I probably should’ve ordered the chicken, steak or shrimp skewers because those were much healthier. Oh well… I skipped dessert which was a very yummy looking lemon tart but I was feeling so full already and I had to make a compromise since I had already eaten so much.

We walked back to the hotel after dinner, all of us feeling full and happy ๐Ÿ˜‰, and I was asleep by 10 pm. Thanks to jetlag I woke up at 4:30 am and I can’t go back to sleep anymore because I am so excited for he first day of Build. This is going to be epic and I can’t wait!!! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I will be uploading the pictures from this trip to OneDrive and Instagram so keep checking back to see where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to in San Francisco. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
