San Francisco – Day 2

I woke up at 6:30 am and went out for a run at sunrise. The weather was beautiful, sunny and warm and I dared to go running in only a t-shirt which was enough. I returned to the hotel and after a quick shower headed to Ihop for breakfast. I wanted pancakes so I chose the Simple & Fit Pancake Combo with two blueberry wholemeal pancakes, scrambled egg whites and turkey bacon. 600 calories in total and healthy, except the bacon of course. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

We planned to spend the day visiting the city and doing some shopping. We walked from Fisherman’s Wharf to Russian Hill and of course the Lombard Street. The climb on Hyde street was challenging to say the least. We continued to Washington Square, then to Chinatown and finally to Union Square where I spent a good amount of time and money at Macy’s. I checked out the Nike store too and we continued to the Westfield mall where I snooped around for over an hour. It was late in the afternoon so we decided to walk along the Market street to the financial district and then walk back to the hotel on the pier on Embarcadero.

We had two hours to kill till dinnertime and I almost fell asleep. My legs and feet were hurting so much from walking almost 20 km. We decided to go to dinner at Hard Rock Cafe at Pier 39 and I chose the Fajitas with chicken and shrimp at a whooping 1200 calories. Ouch! Luckily didn’t eat anything whole day except for that small breakfast.

We walked back to the hotel and planned to stay awake till 10 pm to watch the new Castle episode on ABC but we somehow managed to fall asleep right before 10 pm. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I slept from 10 pm till 5 am and tried to fall back to sleep but I gave up around 6 am and got up. I really wanted to go running in the morning but my legs and feet are pretty much toast and it got quite cold and foggy today and I don’t have a running jacket. So we got ready and walked to Starbucks on the corner of Hyde and Beach for a double tall nonfat latte. This is the best Statbucks that I have been to so far. I am actually writing this blog post as I am sitting here at Starbucks sipping my latte. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

The plan for today is that we meet up with the others at 9 am for breakfast and go to the city. Registration for the Build conference starts at 3 pm and we will attend the first party of many tonight. We have some free time today and I saw some cool Nike Air Max and a black jeans jacket at Abercombie & Fitch which I plan to buy today if I convince my boyfriend to go back to the store again. He cannot refuse me now that I wrote it here for all the world to see or else I will post his twitter and facebook here for all of you to bug him till he agrees! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I will be uploading the pictures from this trip to OneDrive and Instagram so keep checking back to see where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to in San Francisco. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
