Red cups and Christmas specials

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! 🙂

The Starbucks red cups and xmas specials are finally back and I’ve been going to there more often than usual. Pumpkin Spice Latte was my favorite during autumn and I am now enjoying the winter specials quite a lot. 😉

I made yet another trip to Starbucks this weekend, this time knowing that it will be probably the last time that I will be holding a red cup in my hand this year because I am so busy this week and I will be traveling on Saturday. I will return right before New Year’s Eve and the Christmas specials will be over by that time.

Starbucks is packed with many people and there is a long line at the counter. I have a tough time deciding if I should get the Lebkuchen Latte, the Toffee Nut Latte or the new Honey and Almond Hot Chocolate. They are all so delicious!

I leave from Starbucks with my red cup in hand and take a stroll on the crowded Christmas market. The wonderful scent of roasted chestnuts, hot mulled wine, grilled bratwurst and gingerbread hit me from every direction.

The streets and stores are decorated with lights and Christmas trees. I walk into the stores to search for Christmas presents and feel the holiday spirit all around: jolly music is playing is every store, the children are happily running around and the parents are browsing for gifts.

‘Tis the season to be jolly and I have enough reasons to be jolly. This was a great year, I have accomplished so much and I like to think that I have grown a lot as a person. I love software development, I found my new passion for fitness and I had somebody to go home to after a long exhausting day, somebody who would listen to me whine (a lot! :P) and would comfort me when I needed it.

I will soon visit my family, squeeze my puppy and never let her go and spend Christmas in my PJs watching cartoons and holiday movies all day. I wish Christmas would last longer but then it wouldn’t be so special anymore, would it? 🙂
