The traditional Easter lamb roast with potato salad was a great success on Sunday evening. It was as delicious as it looks on the picture and I felt so full whole evening. I sadly lost the second round of Uno but I gained more experience, right? 😉
We planned to go today to the city center for a walk, perhaps again to the cinema but we spontaneously changed our mind and went again on a road trip to the Red Lake. The other idea was the Salt Mine in Turda but the weather was so nice that we wanted to stay above the ground for the day.
We had a nice walk along the lake and then eventually picked a nicer restaurant for lunch. All the tables were occupied but we waited till a table was free and after 10 minutes we finally managed to order. I am not kidding when I say that we waited for 1 hour till the food was served. We got our drinks right after we ordered but everybody else was there for lunch too so preparing the orders went super slow.
I had only a small breakfast this morning so obviously I was starving and getting anxious and when they finally brought the food an hour after we ordered, I got really angry that my fries with grated cheese were completely cold and hard as rock! I couldn’t even cut it with a knife and I tried to knock it with the knife and it wouldn’t break. Needless to say that I sent it back and had only the Romanian mici with bread and mustard. Of course they tried to trick us into paying for those fries too so this was a completely bad experience altogether.
I actually saw a group sitting at another table who wrote their order on a paper and gave it to the waitress because she wouldn’t go to take their order. This is so embarrassing for that restaurant and I won’t ever go back there again.
I consoled myself and my hunger with some yummy Kürtöskalács though. 😉
We continued our journey to the Bicaz Canyon where the road took us right between the huge rocks. It was pretty impressive to say the least!
It was about 2.5 hours there and again 2.5 hours back so we arrived home at 8 in the evening, just in time to check in for the flight for tomorrow and pack our bags. Tomorrow we’re flying back and I am back at work on Wednesday.
Confession: I haven’t written one line of code during this long weekend and I kind of miss it already! But I did enjoy spending time with my family, relaxing and I loved our daily trips. I will be back end of May and again adventure will be waiting for me as I am currently planning another, this time a week long trip with the family! 🙂
