So I finally bit the bullet this weekend and I am starting to prepare for the upcoming exam.
So far I took a few practice tests to see where I am at and which are my strong and weak points.
The exam topic is Web app development and because I have been working mainly on Windows apps recently, I definitely noticed that I forgot some things.
My goal was to get back to Web dev in my free time anyways so now is as good a time as any to do it along with studying for the exam.
I have these books:
- Pro C# 5 and the .Net 4.5 Framework by Andrew Troelsen
- C# In Depth by Jon Skeet
- Programming Entity Framework by Julie Lerman
- WCF Multi-tier Services Development with Linq by Mike Liu
which cover some topics from the Skills Measured section of the exam and I would like to additionally watch some training videos too.
Next up is to make a plan for the next 3-6 months (deadline for the exam is end of July this year) and then start learning! This is going to be so much fun and I can’t wait!
