Ever since I came back from Austria from the amazing hotel with spa and pool where I could go every morning for a swim before starting the day, I got so used to it that I am missing it every day since.
Now that I decided to switch up my workouts from running to incorporate swimming every week at least once and, the gadget freek that I am, I needed a device to track the workouts. I was considering a Garmin Forerunner 910 but due to the bulkiness (I have very small arms) and the high price, I eventually ordered the Garmin Swim.
The Garmin Swim is for use in the pool and it tracks a variety of data from the number of laps to swimming style and so much more.
What’s in the box:
- Garmin Swim device
- USB ANT Stick
- Quick start manual
How to set it up:
Turn the watch on by pressing any button. Set the preferred language, current time and date, weight and you are ready to go.
In order to track and analyse the data online, go to Garmin Connect to create a new account or log into your existing account and connect your new Swim to the account.
After logging in, Download and install the Garmin ANT Agent
Plug in the USB ANT Stick into the computer.
Pair the device with the Garmin ANT Agent: Instructions for Windows
How to use it:
Press any button to turn the display on, select Swimming, choose the pool size, press start and go! I got to try it out today and it’s really that easy.
It’s so much more fun to swim with the Swim and I am really looking forward to the next swimming workout!
