This is going to be a long post so get ready. 😀

Thursday last week was a busy day. The company Chrismas party was on Wednesday after work so needless to say that I was feeling a little bit tired on Thursday. But Thursday was my last day at work before vacation so I had to get things done and finish it all so I can enjoy my vacation and not think for the next 3 weeks about what I left behind.
Even though I was so busy, Thursday was a lot of fun. I had some meetings that were super funny because everyone was in such a good mood (obviously because of the Christmas party and because vacation was coming up) and, best of all, I finished the day with some coding. I made some promises to my colleagues that I will finish a feature by the time they get back from their vacation in January and I had to stay at work till late in the evening to keep my promise but I got it done, plus it was super fun too.
Friday last week was my first vacation day. I am now officially on vacation for 3 weeks. I don’t really remember being ever on vacation for so long so it’s going to be interesting. Usually 1 week is too short and it passes so quickly, 2 weeks are just about right to disconnect and start missing work but 3 weeks this time will be interesting. Today is my 5th vacation day, including the weekend, and this morning I didn’t know which day it was and I had to check it in the calendar. That’s usually a good sign.
So I woke up on Friday and smashed out my workout of the day and started packing for the trip.

I usually visit my family for Christmas and this year is no exception. I literally needed 2,5 hours to pack. I had to fold all my clean clothes from the drier and decide which ones to take, obviously half of my luggage was full with Christmas presents and the other half was mostly my gadgets and sports clothes. There wasn’t a lot of place for regular clothes so I had to prioritize, improvize and optimize.

I left for the airport a bit later than planned and was surprised that there was no line at the baggage dropoff. Security check was a totally different story. They built a new security check area and opened it recently, just in time for when everyone is traveling the Christmas. There were huge lines and it went so slow that I thought that I won’t catch my flight. Luckily I still had time to pick up a prezel, water and a cappuccino before boarding the plane. I was flying with Wizzair and they offer snacks and drinks for extra cost but it’s not good. I always pick something up from the airport.
I arrived as scheduled to the destination but my brother and mom were late to pick me up from the airport and I had to wait. The airport was completely deserted and I was literally the only person there, except for the airport staff. And there wasn’t any free wifi, I mean seriously?!
It took us 2 more hours to drive to my home town and I was so happy to finally arrive, to be with my family and to squeeze my puppy.
Saturday was a lazy day, I did my workout of the day and other than that just rested, relaxed and watched some tv.

I also reset my brother’s pc, if you are a geek then you know how it is. It is that time of the year when we visit family for Christmas and fix their computers. We’re the family tech support and the role is for life. 🙂
Btw this is how we have breakfast, lunch and dinner: the puppy wants to sit at the table with us but she is a good girl and she is waiting patiently for her food. 🙂
On Sunday we drove to the Christmas market in Sibiu, it was beautiful but very quiet and empty. It’s just not the same with no snow. Nevertheless we had a nice time, we had lunch at one of my favorite restaurant in Sibiu, Crama Sibiul Vechi, took a walk on the Christmas market and had some sweets and mulled wine.
I was finally due for a haircut so on Monday I went to my hair dresser. It was still early when I was done so I went to the city center for a walk and to check out the mall. Not much has changed in the city but unfortunately there are too many banks now in the city center so there is not much to see but the Christmas decorations are beautiful. I ended up not buying anything, all the good stores moved away from the city center because it’s so expensive.
I walked home from the city center and took the puppy out for a long walk too.

I also did my workout of the day: I started the session today with the Mossa Let’s Move Fight kickboxing workout on the Xbox Fitness to warm up and get the heart rate up. I Love Xbox Fitness, it’s so much fun! I finished the workout with a cooldown stretching where also the puppy joined me for some downward dog.
This was dinner: steak with fluffy potato purée. I love home cooked meals. 🙂
And that brings us to Tuesday, which is today. I woke up this morning and had some breakfast. I also learned a bit for my next MCPD exam (I hope I can take the exam at the beginning of 2016) and I did my workout of the day. Ashy’s Booty challenge never gets boring, that’s for sure. I totally underestimated the circuits again. I used my mom’s stationary bike for the cardio intervals.
Now I am waiting for my family to come home. We play on the Xbox every afternoon, I love local and online coop games the most and we picked Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 for this vacation so I can play split-screen with my brother. We played every Halo together but the new Halo has no local coop. Boo! 😦
What else I have planned? I am staying in my hone town until after Christmas and I will be hiding at home for the next couple of days because the malls and stores are stormed by so many people shopping for presents and preparing for Christmas. Usually there are huuuuge lines even to get to the parking lot, as in waiting for 1 hour only to park the car. And then the stores are so full and the lines at the cashier are super long. I just don’t have the patience and I can’t stand big crowds. We’re planning to spend the Christmas days at home relaxing and we will probably go to the spa and to the cinema on the weekend.
