I received a voucher for Hello Fresh with my last Amazon order and I decided to give it a try. I sometimes don’t have much time to think what to cook for dinner every day, to search for recipes and buy the ingredients and Hello Fresh is a great addition to my busy life.
Hello Fresh is a weekly delivery service with 3-5 meals for 2-4 persons, incl. ingredients and recipes.
I registered on the website and I used my voucher for a classic box with 3 dishes for 2 persons which was delivered this Tuesday.
Minus point: they only deliver from Tuesday till Friday between 8 and 12 in my area so I had to make sure that someone is home. The delivery is with UPS and alternatively a neighbor can take the box or UPS can leave it at a previously designated place which can be defined on the Hello Fresh website. I would prefer evening or weekend delivery.
The classic box contains meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Meat and dairy products are packed into a cooling bag. Each week until Wednesday midnight I can choose 3 out of 5 dishes for the next week. I can also pause the box if for example I will be away that week or if I don’t like the menu, which is highly unlikely because the dishes so far have been great.
The recipe sheets contain the necessary ingredients for the dishes, preparation steps with pictures and nutrition information.
The ingredients are fresh, organic and, whenever possible, regional. I always struggled with cooking too much and having leftovers for many days, getting bored with eating the same thing and sometimes ending up throwing it away. This is why I love that a serving from Hello Fresh is exactly the right amount of food for one person.
