Learning never stops in programming. If you were looking forward to start working while you were still in school because you thought that you will never ever ever have to pick up a book or to study again, you were wrong. In this business there are always new languages, new libraries, new techniques, etc. released which you should keep up with, otherwise your knowledge and skills will be soon outdated and that will be shown in your work too.
It’s hard to make time with a full time job and a personal life but it is not only good for your career, it’s fun too!
I won’t get into books, courses, conferences, podcasts, etc. What I want to cover in this post are some of the web sites that I frequently use to learn and improve:
- Pluralsight
- Channel 9
- Khan Academy
- Code
- Free webinars, e.g.Devexpress, Telerik,…
- Stackoverflow
- MSDN
- Microsoft Virtual Academy
- Windows Azure Friday
Do you have any other recommendations? I would love to hear them!
