We started the long weekend with a day trip to Ansbach. 1st of May is a holiday and I took Monday off as well so we can have 4 days to relax. I thought about going somewhere for the entire weekend but we are traveling to US next weekend so I am taking advantage of this long weekend to rest and get ready for the jet lag.
I was positively surprised by Ansbach. We arrived around lunch time and decided to have some food first, afterwards we took a walk in the old town and in the court garden where we had a break with a coffee & cake. It was very quiet for a Saturday when usually everyone goes to the city shopping.
The old town is small but very beautiful and the court garden impressed me a lot so Ansbach is definitely going on my Best of Bavaria series.
What to do in Ansbach:
- Visit the old town
- Have a burger at Max Muh
- Take a stroll in the in the Court Garden
- Relax in the Café-Restaurant Orangerie
